Where and when the AIRS 2008 will be held?
The AIRS 2008 will be held at Sinoway Hotel(华融饭店) from Jan 16th to 18th, 2008 in Harbin, China. All the participants will stay at Sinoway Hotel(华融饭店), Harbin Post Hotel (波斯特酒店) and Haiyan Hotel(海燕大酒店) .

Do I need a Chinese Visa to enter China?
Please make sure to consult at the Chinese Embassy or general consulate in your county or region to find out if you need a Chinese Visa to enter China.

What is the procedure to apply for the visa?
AIRS 2008 can only issue the Invitation letter to facilitate the visa application for your convenience. Guests will still need to make the necessary applications with their respective Chinese consulates themselves. Please provide the following details when you register the workshop and indicate your request for the invitation letter at the same time
• - Full name as stated on the passport
• - Gender
• - Date/Place of Birth
• - Passport No and Expiry Date
• - Entry Date
• - Place of Issue the Visa
• - Number of Entry (single / multiple)
• - Purpose of Visit
• - Contact Detail (address + phone & fax no)

How can I get to the hotel from the airport and how long does it take?
You can download the map and address in Chinese from our webpage http://ir.hit.edu.cn/airs2008/hotel_r.html. Please make a copy or print it, so that you can show them to the taxi drivers. Normally, it takes around 45-60 minutes to get to the hotel, depending on the traffic condition.
Please note: DON’T take the illegal taxis whose drivers come to you and offering underground deals, but take the normal taxis in the queue in front of the gate.
