Qingyu Yin (尹庆宇)

I am a Ph.D. student at Harbin Institute of Technology, advised by Prof. Ting Liu . My research interests lie in natural language processing and deep learning. I mainly focus on Chinese zero pronoun resolution problems.

Internship Experience

During my internship, I participated in the project named as "time-sensitive query detection". My responsibility was mining time-sensitive verbs from query log to provide information when detecting time-sensitive queries. And I also took part in the development of the Baidu's knowledge graph, which is known as "Baidu - Zhixin".

Ellipsis recovery in dialogue with Sony Corporation

Oct 2013 - Mar 2014

We search on the ellipsis phenomenon in Chinese dialogues. My responsibility was detecting the zero pronouns (ZP) in sentences and resolving them into certain entities. To minimize the error accumulation when conducting these two steps in a sequential process, I propose a joint model approach, performs the ZP identification and resolution simultaneously in a unified framework.

Question-answering system with ZTE Corporation

Nov 2013 - Sep 2014

I was in charge of a domain-specific FAQ system for ZTE customer service robot, from scratch, including designing architecture, developing retrieval algorithm and designing user interface. I also integrate the coreference resolution module to expend and complement input questions. Our project won the ZTE outstanding project award within 300 projects.

Chatting Robot in WeChat

Mar 2015 - Present

We develop a chatting robot in the platform of WeChat (an instant messaging service application). I contributed to the question understanding engine by building a overt pronoun resolver.
